I apologize if the font is too small.

I hope this is useful to some people.
I typed this up in a journal AGES ago, and thought it would be good to make it a deviation to make it more passable around =D

This is a GUIDE, and by no means concrete.
Don be so bloody arrogant as to stomp around all high and mighty thinking you can dictate to me how to price work.

If you are comfortable with a 2$ commission good for you, if you cant part with something for less than $3000 more power to you.

This is not a living wage, but if you are going to be doing this as a full time job, you would have to price that way. as a hobby, you need to consider how much time is going to be invested in each piece.
This GUIDE has a very reasonable BASE PRICING set out for accepting commissions but AS STATED VERY CLEARLY, its a guide and you must do the work and set the price yourself.

You need experience. you can increase your prices as often as you want and work up.
you need to build a reputation and build yourself up.
you always have to climb ladders in life, you cant ever start at the top.
Thats an extremely ignorant and arrogant way to think.
and thats the last thing you want to be ;)

AGAIN, this is one way of working your way up.
You can stop at taking commissions as a hobby, or you can build yourself up to being a full working professional.

the sky is the limit.
Its all up to you. There are many ways to get to the top. Most of us climb.
